Just to report three successes, I have applied the update, (which did not go as smoothly as the last, it took two attempts) to three different machines running SMEV5. All are working fine, without exception. I am sure that last statement has just unleashed the fury of Hell upon me, but I figured a positive post couldn't hurt. All are "tweaked" a little, but mostly just PHP or Dansguardian.
If anyone wants snips of logs, reply off list. Allen -----Original Message----- From: Rich Lafferty [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED]] Sent: Tuesday, November 27, 2001 17:27 To: Greg J. Greg, Er, confirmed what? According to Brossin, the blade shut down all of the services listening on his external interface. (See my followup there.) I've installed the new blade on a test machine and DNS stopped > working, but all other network services seem to be working OK. I've been unable to duplicate any named problems on a test system here. Please see my other message to you offlist regarding diagnosing your named problem.
