But the template itself can be a single file, or they can be a set of file fragments, contained within a directory. I see no reason to remove that (useful) choice. > I simply wish for consistency and an expand-template that works > consistently. You have an expand-template which works consistently. It takes one argument which is the name of the file which you wish to expand. I don't believe that this has changed. I haven't been able to replicate it. Here is expand-template on 4.1.2: [root@charlieb /root]# cat /etc/redhat-release e-smith server and gateway release 4.1.2 [root@charlieb /root]# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/cron.d Could not expand //etc/cron.d - it is a directory [root@charlieb /root]# and 5.0 looks just the same: Welcome to the March Networks SME Server V5.0 Kernel 2.2.19-7.0.8 on an i686 [root@charlieb /root]# cat /etc/e-smith-release March Networks SME Server V5.0 [root@charlieb /root]# /sbin/e-smith/expand-template /etc/cron.d Could not expand //etc/cron.d - it is a directory [root@charlieb /root]# -- Charlie Brady [EMAIL PROTECTED] Lead Product Developer Network Server Solutions Group http://www.e-smith.com/ Mitel Networks Corporation http://www.mitel.com/ Phone: +1 (613) 368 4376 or 564 8000 Fax: +1 (613) 564 7739 -- Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (only) to discuss security issues Support for registered customers and partners to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives by mail and http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo%40lists.e-smith.org
