I would like to open discussions on a project involving duplicating the
console functions in the server-manager.

Similar to other server appliances on the market, this would enhance the
current feature set and allow for SME Servers to be pre-built on various
headless (no video/keyboard) hardware platforms with a preset IP assignment.
Clients then simply connect the box to their network, browse to the
predefined server IP (192.168.1.1) and use the server-manager as a
_single_point_ to complete their server setup.

Again, just to be clear, I plan to leave the current console intact but
duplicate the console panels (that make sense to duplicate) in the
server-manager to effect the above _single_point_ of server management.

On an initial look at the existing console code, it appears very possible
to accomplish this.

Question:
- are there any known technical hurdles to overcome or is it simply that no
one has ventured down this path yet?

Comments welcomed.
