This mail sounded to me like someone was trying to figure out if it was a bug or intended for some reason, or perhaps he misconfigured something in the new release and was trying to find out.
That is a good example of an excellent user who to tries to determine if they should waste your time and resources with a bug report. I wish all my customers were so careful. If you read it and it sounded like a bug to you how about you say that, its what he was trying to figure out anyway I am guessing: "Yes, that doesn't sound right, it should be there, as always, please also report it to [EMAIL PROTECTED] so the right folks can follow up, thank you." would have gone a lot further than a sarcastic chide. It would have answered his question and treated him with respect instead of neither of those. I know that 'working' lists like these for a business such as Mitel is hard and grueling day in and day out and I think the folks at Mitel to a very good job at it overall and I for one appreciate it. But some of it is comming off as hostile no matter how well intended it may be. And a big thank you to all those non-Mitel employees who contribute here, I have learned a lot over the past year or so. blake ----- Original Message ----- From: "Charlie Brady" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "Rob Hillis" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Cc: <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Friday, February 01, 2002 11:14 PM Subject: Re: [e-smith-devinfo] Upgrade to 5.1.2 problem > > On Sat, 2 Feb 2002, Rob Hillis wrote: > > > Has anyone run into the problem of having dhcpd die after upgrading to 5.1.2 > > from 5.1b3? > > Please submit a report to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > [Perhaps I've neglected to mention this in the past.] > > -- > Charlie Brady [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Lead Product Developer > Network Server Solutions Group http://www.e-smith.com/ > Mitel Networks Corporation http://www.mitel.com/ > Phone: +1 (613) 368 4376 or 564 8000 Fax: +1 (613) 564 7739 > > > > -- > Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (only) to discuss security issues > Support for registered customers and partners to [EMAIL PROTECTED] > To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > Archives by mail and http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo%40lists.e-smith.org > -- Please report bugs to [EMAIL PROTECTED] Please mail [EMAIL PROTECTED] (only) to discuss security issues Support for registered customers and partners to [EMAIL PROTECTED] To unsubscribe, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] For additional commands, e-mail: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Archives by mail and http://www.mail-archive.com/devinfo%40lists.e-smith.org
