First, you must execute the update-system event. You can do this at any
time by entering the Update system panel and hitting Update. No rpm upload
is required. This will simply launch the update-system event and will
recognize no rpm was uploaded but will continue to process and create two
log files:

/var/log/rpmlist.log
/var/log/update-system.log

or manually you may launch from the command-line:

/sbin/e-smith/signal-event update-system

Next if you are running SME 5.1.2 (or have added
e-smith-viewlogfiles-1.0.0-03 to e-smith 4.x/5.x) there is a server-manager
panel called:

View log files

Then you simply open the drop-down selection box and choose the log to
view, and hit the View log file button to display.

Choose a log file to view: rpmlist.log
[View log file]

This displays a sorted list of all installed rpms. Depending on your
browser being used, you may be able to right-click and select Print to keep
a hard copy.

Regards,
