There's easier ways to do this, so if they can no longer rely on that
it's probably a good thing, as if your installing via sudo you always
needed to provide root's home enironment.

If you look into a few packages that install sql tables, such as imp,
twiggi, etc. you'll notice they use a mysql event to initialize their
tables.
