Bart, > Who-ever wants to run Zope on SME 5.1.2 : the ones on www.taupro.com > (http://www.taupro.com/Downloads/Zope) are not compatible, and Zope 2.4.3 > requires Python 2.1 (not 2.2, for which Dan York has built rpms) - did not try
Huh... it won't work on top of 2.2? Interesting, given that Zope Corp. is the home of the core of the python development team (Guido, etc.). FYI, all I did to build the 2.2 rpms was to download the source RPM (python2-2.2-2.src.rpm) and then literally just do: rpm --rebuild python2-2.2-2.src.rpm on my RH 7.1 system. Oh... there was one other step... I had to install the 'expat-devel' RPM that contains the source code for the expat XML parser that python 2.2 builds in. After that, I did the '--rebuild' and a minute or two later I had all the binary (.i386.rpm) files that worked perfectly fine on the SME Server.
