Hi Dan,

About Zope 2.4.3 and Python 2.1, Dan wrote:

You're probably right about Zope and it's the compatibility with Python 2.2
(although I didn't test with Python 2.2).

Python 2.1/2.2 is a lesser problem, as the problem was more that

-Jeff Rush' Zope src rpm has all references to Python 2.1
- Zope 2.4.3 is too date the most stable release, and has
Python 2.1(.2) as base (2.5 is rumoured to have some stability problems),
Zope 2.4.3 might work with 2.2, but -again- did not test this.

Also, I aimed at producing a stable, clean, no nonsense install (no --nodeps
please :) )
Albeit Python 2.1 or 2.2, it remains that at least adaption of Jeff Rush's src
rpm is required.

Now that i write this, i didn't try using the option of symlinking Python 2.2
to /usr/bin/python2.1 .....Nasty, but will try that on my devbox.

Later, Bart.
