Thought I had better try the rpm out on 5.5b4 not expecting any problems.
Guess what, it didnt work. The perl script that creates the users requires
Digest::SHA1, which was included in previous versions. Not any more. Looks
like I will have to cpan2rpm a perl-digest-SHA1 rpm and include it with the
install.

Subject: [e-smith-devinfo] Announcement: Updated Jabber RPM and How To
available

Changes:
This rpm fixes a bug in the Jabber.xml template. I have changed it to use
the e-smith templating system.

I have changed back to a single process operation for Jabber and the
Transports. This was because of resource issues with some lower spec
machines.

I have removed the ability to turn registration on or off as some Jabber
Clients do not follow the Jabber RFC and allowed registration anyway.
I have fixed the .spec file so that future versions will upgrade with -Uvh.
(just for Charlie)

I have added three extra scripts to the downloads file.

install.sh - installs jabber rpm and pth rpm

upgrade.sh - upgrades from a previous version. Will save all users you may
have registered

uninstall.sh - self explanatory
Updated the How To to include the Jabber Users section.

Available here http://khunjarnet.com/downloads/jabber

Cheers,

Jon Blakely
