Darrell, > Has anyone tried implementing SME & Outlook's Internet Free/Busy feature?
Yes, in fact, we *have* implemented it as the "Free/Busy Scheduling" blade that is available as part of the commercial release of SME Server 5.5. Subscribers to our "Security Plus" ServiceLink package have access to this and other blades. You can read about it at: http://edocs.mitel.com/6000_SME_Server/Free_Busy_Scheduling_Blade.htm It works great for Outlook users. > Just thinking out loud.... > > It appears to me a combination of this feature and one server-based shared > company.pst file (providing a global contacts list) would be enough to keep > most Outlook users on SME and happily synching to their PDA's. >From what I remember of the years I worked with Exchange Server and Outlook, I believe Timothy Pugh is correct in that only one person at a time can access a given .pst file. However, if it could be opened read-only, or something like that, it would indeed provide a great solution.
