2) Here's a Christmas present
We've seen this with newer hardware and the SMP kernel in SME Server
5.5. You have 2 options
- use the uni-processor kernel rather than the SMP kernel, the
boot spalsh screen should give you 2 kernel options. Choose the
one that ends in "up" (for uni-processor) (You've already
discovered that this works).
- use SME 5.6b7, that uses the 2.4 kernel which doesn't have this
problem (at least not on the hardware we've tested).
