patch is pretty good at dealing with random junk appearing before
the actual patch.

This will only patch the sources, and you'll need to start off having
sources to patch. qmail is built from an RPM and the patch needs to
be applied there.

In any case, you shouldn't need the qmailqueue patch as the equivalent
is already available in mailfront (which covers mail injected via SMTP -
the only way a user can inject mail in an unmodified SME Server).

If you do need the patch, you should look at Bruce Guenter's qmail+patches:
