I have used BackupEdge to DVD and it works quite well.  Still doesn't make
much sense to me to backup to a media that requires changing as often as CD
or DVD.  Hard to do a 30-40 gig backup that way.  

I guess if you have a limited amount of data that DVD would make sense.
