I'm not sure you're qualified to throw around latinate acronyms like that..
given that you have not eliminated all the variables and have artificially
reduced it to a C vs. Java thing, which it is not..

There is probably something horribly wrong inside fproxy, because the
FCPHandler is also written in Java and also suffers the extra FNP overhead
same as fproxy.  And iirc fwproxy uses FCP..
