There's a wee problem with the existing MSK syntax - when mirroring
freesites to disk, and browsing them locally, any links from one site to
another won't work.

This is because browsers seem to hate '//' in 'file://' URLs.

I put forward a simple suggestion:

When an SSK is to be used within an MSK, slashes in the subspace identifier
should be illegal.

For example:
SSK@blahblahblah/sitename - legal
SSK@blahblahblah/sitename/containing/slashes - illegal

that way, MSK@SSK@ URIs would be expressible with a single slash, for
example,
MSK@SSK@blahblahblah/sitename/index.html

If this is agreed upon and implemented, then it will be possible to mirror
chosen sites on one's local disk, and the links between freesites will
actually work.

Seriously - I've never seen a freesite URL whose SSK subspace identifier
contains a slash, so this would be a tiny price.
It would be hard to convince me that making slashes illegal in MSKs' SSK
subspace identifiers would be such a great tragedy.

Thoughts?

David
