be patient for many other reasons, least of all wanting to build the
windows freenet installer.  I'm not involved in the windows installer
at the moment, so I definitely don't know the specifics of what's
going on, but:

Generally, the fewer hacks, the better.

win98 isn't a server OS.  I agree that we'll lose a lot of potential
users if we exclude windows 98, but if it just runs a little worse on
98, that's not that big of a deal.

And lastly, don't you know enough CVS to check out older versions of
files?  If not, be like me and use emacs, which'll do all the CVS
stuff for you.  (at least under linux, there's probably a way under
windows)
