People can now check out the distribution of messages reported in the watchme network by message type - I hacked something in last night to allow this through the watchme frontend. Be patient, since it runs a few queries and takes a bit of time, but if you look at:
http://hawk.freenetproject.org/~watchme/frontend.pl?summarize=1 you can check it out. The sample size is small since the data collection scripts were just recently restarted, but it does have some interesting information that seems to indicate a whole lot of inserting has been going on. An average number of 12 records per message ID I'd guess means that the network is very, very small since most messages should ideally be reported twice (once by the sender and once by the receiver) meaning that the average path length is no less than 6 and no more than 12, I think. Comments? I know there are at least 5 nodes on the watchme network - is anbody out there doing anything with it? -- David Allen http://opop.nols.com/
