Well, all the core developers are well-versed in object oriented
languages, and there is a good possibility of porting to C++ in less
time than it would take to completely rewrite in C++ i.e. far less time
than it would take to rewrite in C. However we cannot rewrite it in
anything right now. Raise $30K and I'll rewrite it in C++, otherwise
you're on your own - we cannot raise enough money to pay a full time
developer in order to get it rewritten in a reasonable time, if freenet
development apart from the port is totally stalled for all that period.
