Another idea: If the user has a "red alert" show a brief description as
a link on the main page. If the user clicks on the link, he's taken to
the "General Information" or the "Self Diagnostics" page. We will have
to design the alerts so that they are using "smoothed" values so that
the user doesn't see spurious alerts.

maybe we could rename "Load" to "Node Utilization" or "Node Activity," that makes the 100% reading look GOOD. And make it green at highest values, not red :) Blue, red, or black for low values, yellow or grey for middle of the road values...

Do we WANT that?!?

Why not? The problem right now is that having 100% "Load" is sometimes a "good" thing (like when it is due to high utilization of outgoing bw), and sometimes it's a "bad" thing (like when it's due to exceeding maximumThreads). So "Load" is pretty ambiguous.

The best solution is probably to take Ken's suggestion and then calculate "Node Utilization" as either:

1. outgoing bw / outgoing bw limit, or
2. trailer outgoing bw / outgoing bw, or
3. _________________________ <- fill in the blank
