Actually that might solve the caching-on-disk problem: Firefox 3.5 supports <video>, hopefully it respects the cache policy of the server even when playing video, but it likely buffers it on disk in a way that is neither ephemerally encrypted nor properly wiped after use. Whereas with Cortado there is probably no on-disk caching and even if there is we can control it. So that may very well be a good solution...
