Onion / Mixmaster encrypted source routing. E.g. ShadowWalker, PISCES, Mixminion, etc. Freenet can potentially use long-term tunnels (true mixes) for inserts on darknet, but we also need real-time tunnels for requests. This can be done on darknet (PISCES), or on opennet (ShadowWalker). However IMHO it is not the most urgent concern for security: The best thing we can do to improve the practical security of Freenet is make darknet fast (e.g. friend-of-a-friend links) and convenient (easier noderef exchange, better support for using peers for NAT traversal etc). And yes, these are implementation details - but they matter. >>>> - Darknet security: Pitch Black (believed to be solvable). >>> Can you expand on the belief that this problem is solvable? >> Oskar has proposed a solution. > What was the proposal?
