In Freenet you get a globally connected darknet: If any of the people in
your darknet have a connection to the outside (or opennet), then you can
access the bootstrap identities.

I’m running pure Darknet, but I can access Freesites without
problems. That’s one of the differences between Freenet and many other
things called Darknet.

Relying on not being connected to the global Freenet für security would
be insecure, since even when you disable Opennet on all nodes a single
node connected to some other darknet "pocket" connects your two pockets
- which asymtotically gives you a global darknet.

However, if you wanted to, you could just replace the bootstrap
identities.

Best wishes,
Arne
