I have a lot of personal first hand experience with average users which demonstrates that proxy configuration is too hard for them to do. However, we don't have to aim things at the lowest common denominator. If we have solutions that work for the average user, we can also have solutions which are better but required more advanced users. Hence the command line client existing in the first place. _______________________________________________ Devl mailing list Devl at freenetproject.org http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devl >From devl-admin at freenetproject.org Tue Apr 10 04:41:58 2001 Return-Path: <devl-admin at freenetproject.org> Received: from hawk.freenetproject.org (postfix@[4.18.42.11]) by funky.danky.com (8.9.3/8.8.7) with ESMTP id EAA23067 for <danello at danky.com>; Tue, 10 Apr 2001 04:41:57 -0400 Received: from hawk.freenetproject.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by hawk.freenetproject.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id C39B15813D; Tue, 10 Apr 2001 01:24:04 -0700 (PDT) Delivered-To: devl at freenetproject.org Received: from moe.cc.utexas.edu (moe.cc.utexas.edu [128.83.42.2]) by hawk.freenetproject.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 7BCE958135 for <devl at freenetproject.org>; Tue, 10 Apr 2001 01:23:21 -0700 (PDT) Received: from localhost (blanu at localhost) by moe.cc.utexas.edu (8.9.3/8.9.3/cc-uts-client-1.11) with ESMTP id DAA20742 for <devl at freenetproject.org>; Tue, 10 Apr 2001 03:18:12 -0500 (CDT) X-Authentication-Warning: moe.cc.utexas.edu: blanu owned process doing -bs From: Brandon <[email protected]> X-Sender: blanu at moe.cc.utexas.edu To: devl at freenetproject.org Subject: Re: [freenet-devl] Risks of large key indexes In-Reply-To: <87itkdnplz.fsf at priss.bad-people-of-the-future.san-francisco.ca.us>
