Ah, nevermind then. I have little faith that your node will stay up to date then. Having been through 3 versions in which the majority of software was broken and never fixed, I am very dubious of the staying power of any fully independent implementations of the Freenet protocol (except for Whiterose, which is obviously maintained by an obsessed maniac, which is a good thing). > I'll certainly implement a client protocol for the higher-level stuff than > just "insert this key. and this key. fetch that one.". (perhaps a > libfcp type library would be appropriate for this? anyway, it's far too > early for Reiska to be thinking about these things...) This won't stop your node from breaking when 0.4 is released. _______________________________________________ Devl mailing list Devl at freenetproject.org http://lists.freenetproject.org/mailman/listinfo/devl >From - Mon Apr 30 02:04:50 2001 Return-Path: <devl-admin at freenetproject.org> Received: from hawk.freenetproject.org (postfix@[4.18.42.11]) by funky.danky.com (8.9.3/8.8.7) with ESMTP id NAA24707 for <danello at danky.com>; Fri, 27 Apr 2001 13:46:21 -0400 Received: from hawk.freenetproject.org (localhost [127.0.0.1]) by hawk.freenetproject.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 25963581A4; Fri, 27 Apr 2001 11:27:11 -0700 (PDT) Delivered-To: devl at freenetproject.org Received: from priss.bad-people-of-the-future.san-francisco.ca.us (priss.bad-people-of-the-future.san-francisco.ca.us [216.103.68.5]) by hawk.freenetproject.org (Postfix) with ESMTP id 9ABBF57FF2 for <devl at freenetproject.org>; Fri, 27 Apr 2001 11:26:50 -0700 (PDT) Received: from evan by priss.bad-people-of-the-future.san-francisco.ca.us with local (Exim 3.22 #1 (Debian)) id 14tCss-0001AN-00 for <devl at freenetproject.org>; Fri, 27 Apr 2001 11:22:26 -0700 To: devl at freenetproject.org Subject: Re: [freenet-devl] YAEFNIIC References: <Pine.OSF.4.33.0104271314220.16498-100000 at moe.cc.utexas.edu> From: "Mr.Bad" <mr....@pigdog.org> Organization: Pigdog Journal X-PGP-Fingerprint: 91F8 6B2D EBEA 8D7A 3F20 E5B0 6D97 B3BC F498 A1D9
