That's assuming that your idea of what the undernode is "responsible
for" is the same as what its downstream nodes think it is "responsible
for."

Two other mitigating factors:

        1) nodes tend to "balance out" after extended (~2 weeks) use.
        2) it's close to random what the "ubernode" for any given node
           will be.        
        3) There's no way for the "ubernode" to know that it's the
           ubernode for the undernode.
