First off, I think it's been OK to use Class C addresses for a long
time on Freenet. We'd be in big trouble if we only supported class A
and B.

I think the term you're looking for is "private network addresses."
(e.g. 10.0.0.1 or 192.168.255.1). 

There's a fix in Fred that switches between private and public
addresses only if the node has addresses in both networks.

Whoever has the address you noted should probably use a nodeAddress
config parameter.

I don't think it's that big a deal. The address should eventually
disappear from real nodes, since it's not resolvable.
