For the great reason of... they bugged you? They didn't work? Why'd
you do this? Did you change the command-line handling for all programs
(I mean, did you change "Params.java")? 

Also, since what you're talking about is pretty much GNU cmdline
handling, did you use gnu.getopt?

Not -too- much, but it seems like a big change for docs & such without
much benefit besides satisfying your personal aesthetics. As far as
I'm concerned, the Java-style parameters (single-dash, long name) was
fine. At least it was consistent.
