Actually I think it only succeeded in making your life difficult, since
now you have to deal with merging a more developed branch back into the
less developed HEAD, which _is_ the opposite of how CVS is supposed to
work afaics ;)  .. branches are for freezing, patches, and experimentation,
not main development, neh?

Has there really been much development going on in 0.3 lately?  Doesn't
seem that way.  But I still don't get why it would be so onerous for
people to have to check that branch out with -r 0.3 .. that would be
the only difference.
