Additional idea: Since each segment is a logical "chunk" of the blocks, we could set the ALT tag for the benefit of any lynxers (linksers more likely, because lynx can't do two things at once) who might be crazy enough to use this UI. Just something like [30% retrieved] [36% waiting] | [13% wating] [10% willretry] [10% failed] would have all of the info in a rather compact format -- but maybe it's not as convenient as properly text-based. :) Cheers --hobbs P.S.
