Look for a .store directory, or perhaps some of the older configuration
options.  Alternatively, perhaps you should save a file somewhere
indicating the version of the installer, this could be read by the newer
version, and if it doesn't exist, then it would know that the old version
is too old and needs to be removed before installation.
