Nextgens has convinced me that it would be a good idea to have a meeting of all active and likely to be active contributors to discuss where next and try to rebuild the community, which has lost quite a bit over the last year or so, as well as gained much.
The obvious thing would be to meet on IRC, but at least I would be open to other options if there is a consensus. I am not physically up to a physical meeting in the near future. One other constraint on my side is I am away from the 4th to the 9th of September. Please let me know if you want to come and when would be convenient. Also, agenda items would be welcome. Some obvious ones: - 0.8 timing. We have funding for some time, does that allow us to do more stuff in the meantime? - Load management and current state of the network, and data persistence. - Freetalk. - Filesharing. - Installers. - Website. Nextgens suggests we should have a CMS and/or people should volunteer to improve the existing site and/or wiki. - Darknet insecurity (pitch black attack). - Opennet insecurity (very scary). - Merging zidel's new packet format code - potentially disruptive but should be a big improvement. -------------- next part -------------- A non-text attachment was scrubbed...
