Pushing is not necessary but It would make at leas implementation of
progress bar easier. For starters, you don't have to worry about
connection limits.

The current websockets RFC (https://tools.ietf.org/html/rfc6455) has
been implemented by nearly all new browsers and is also supported by
nearly all webservers (Jetty 8 in my case)
