Wouldn't it be possible, using <noscript> tags, to target users without javascript and use a PHP forward to the appropriate directory instead, in regard to the drop down menu? In that case /%lang%/ would be required but it serves as a viable fall back.
Or perhaps the subdomain approach: %lang%.freenetproject.org ? With the subdomain approach, provided that links are given in relation to the document and are not hardcoded (ie href="download.html" rather than href=" http://freenetproject.org/download.html";) it will work across subdomains. -------------- next part -------------- An HTML attachment was scrubbed...
