Wondering, if the store itself should not implement the `TimeOrderedKeyValueBuffer` directly? Seems weird to have a store, but not do put/get on the store itself... With this PR, we won't have a buffer that is not store any longer, thus, we might want to merge/transform the existing buffer into a store abstraction?
