If 1.8.1 arrives before 1.9M1 then no problem. The release notes for
1.9M1 will have a section named "Changes since 1.8.1".
If 1.8.1 arrives after 1.9M1 then the 1.8.1 release notes will have a
section named "Changes since 1.8".

Is that what you meant?
