I'm thinking a wiki with ~1k users will be a bit of a strain for myxwiki.org.
Also myxwiki.org has no uptime guarantee so although it gets fixed relatively 
quick,
it is down more often than a commercial offering. If you are interested in 
commercial
XWiki hosting, you can try asking over at xwiki.com, I understand the xwiki.com 
farm
runs on a cluster and 1k users can be handled easily.
