Hi devs, I'd like to propose to remove the usage if the buildnumber plugin. Initially the idea was to differentiate different snapshot version so that when a user reports an issue on a snapshot version we know exactly which svn rev it corresponds to and can reproduce the problem easily. In practice and AFAIK it has never happened.
Now since we're moving to Git and since the buildnumber plugin generates a hash for git (less user friendly), I think we could drop its usage. This will allow to reduce the build complexity. WDYT?
