Vincent, I think some guidelines to this effect would help. And I believe it is essential that these are monitored!
Also, what about a valuable mailing-list announce? What about blogs elsewehere? E.g. Joshua Marks announced recently we passed 250'000 members in Curriki. Should these all be blog-posted?
