Good day, Thank you for your input Caty, I will reply following the order of the topics:
1. I agree with your asessment, my proposal was merely adressing http://jira.xwiki.org/browse/XAMEETINGS-31. Any suitable technical approach to achieve this is welcomed. 2. a) Indeed, there is only one panel dedicated to upcoming meetings, I shared the original state as well: empty. b) Regarding the clock icons/bullets - I adjusted the proposal to tone down the forced focus. c) We could follow Google's Calendar example and display them without suggesting the end state. I wanted to offer the possibility for the invited user to make a quicker choice (color vs text since the possibilities in this area would be limited to 3 choices) and also teach him to pick in the future what suits his needs. d) My intention was to provide the visitor with a quick information regarding the meeting. The status label is using the default bootstrap label style. I could add an icon to further emphasize the character but the difference as compared to buttons is pretty obvious to me (flat style, font and box size). If we plan to alter it on the flamingo skit it can borrow the proper styling upon deployment. I would otherwise stick to the current state of the proposal on this matter. e) Adjusted this aspect. 3. Thank you for the appreciation. The grey text's role is to act as a placeholder to get the user started and suggest the proper type of content. The xHint field may not always provide enough space to share an example of content or enough details. Since most browsers offer us this possbility I think we should make use of it when necessary (thinking beyond the current app proposal). 4. The proper markup can handle this type of display without problems. If anything, this approach could be dropped if the number of available states goes beyond 4 or contains other states (such as suspended, interrupted, postponed, proposed) which would require dedicated color coding and altering of the admin area to account for such settings.
