Hi, I also think that this is just a documentation page and should not be listed as an extension. It also confuses users of EM.
Re metadata, the individual (actual installable extensions) will contain that information, even if duplicated (but that should be no problem, since it`s automatically populated from the maven descriptor which is in one place).
