I have a situation I don't have an easy way to test at the moment. I'm
wondering if anyone has tested this situation.

I'm using dhcp-2.0b1pl18 under Digital UNIX 4.0D with BPF. In some
circumstances, the machine will have two interaces on separate networks,
and the relay agent may unicast DHCP requests to both interfaces.

What will the server do if it sees the same request come in on two
interfaces, which are on different networks?

I have a workaround for this, if necessary, but without trying it I'm
not certain whether it's necessary. Has anyone tried this? It will be
some time before I can set up an appropriate test here.

Thanks for your input.

The details, for those who are interested:

I have two servers, a primary and a backup. The backup is normally
offline. The primary pushes a new copy of the lease database each time
it gets rewritten (a local hack to the code). The two machines live on
different networks.

If the primary machine goes down, we'l bring up the second interface on
the backup server with the IP address of the primary. The relay agents
unicast requests to both addresses, but the backup is normally down and
doesn't answer. But in this case, both addresses will be on different
interfaces on the same machine, with a running DHCP server.
