Hi,
I'm having a very similar problem with a different scenario. I have 2
LANs connected with a point-to-point 64k link with 2 cisco routers. On
the lan "a" I have a SUN acting as a Javastation Server, and severals
Javastations that uses the bootp/dhcp server on the sun server. On lan
"b" I'm using the dhcrelay to forward the bootp/dhcp requests to the Sun
on lan "a". When a Javastation on lan "b" starts sending requests, the
dhcrelay forwards them to the sun, the Sun, answers to the the dhcrelay,
and the dhcrelay answers to the Javastation (at least, this is what
dhcrelay "says" it does when I print some debugging info) but the
Javastation doesn't take that answer, and keeps asking for an address.
I have "hardcoded" de mac address -> ip address info of the Javastation
(using arp), but the problem persists.
If you need more info, just ask me!
TIA,
Julio Santa Cruz.
