Sorry to have to ask - but I haven't been able to find a FAQ or most
importantly an archive of this list.
I have a situation where a network of about 400 computers served by
v2.0b1pl18 and spanning 2 class-C's has suddenly stopped getting IP's. The
problem initially started with patch level 6 or something so I upgraded to
pl18, nuked the lease file just in case it had been corrupted or something
and started the server. Everything looks fine.
I'm off site and haven't been able to check the actual DHCP traffic in the
mornings as people try to boot up.
I suspect that it must be a problem with a computer recently installed on
the network or a switch or something... but I don't know for sure.
If anyone would like to hazard a guess I would be happy to hear it! but I
would really like to find a searchable archive of this list so I don't have
to waste bandwidth.
