I am setting up a DHCP server on a Linux RedHat 5.1 system. It has been upgraded to
Kernel 2.2.5. After installing V2.0b1pl18
of DHCPD I get the following fatal error on DHCPD startup:

socket: Protocol not available - make sure CONFIG_PACKET and CONFIG_FILTER
are defined in your kernel configuration!

I have checked my kernel configuration and YES both CONFIG_PACKET and
CONFIG_FILTER are set to "y". And I have
recompiled the kernel with this configuration and installed it.

           Any help would be appreciated.
