*** From dhcp-server -- To unsubscribe, see the end of this message. *** Greetings Saxyby You can't have a subnet that is JUST 1-40. It doesn't work like that. You could on the other hand have this 27 bit mask network id; 128.15.16.0 /27 broadcast; 128.15.16.31 subnet mask 255.255.255.224 Valid Ip range .1 thru .30 your next largest block would be a 26 bit mask: Network ID; 128.15.16.0 /26 broadcast; 128.15.16.63 subnet mask; 255.255.255.192 Valid Ip range; .1 thru .62 Both of these use the " ZERO " subnet. be carefull with this. some older network device were made to follow the IPv4 specs to the "t", and they may not understand subneting in the first block. The Zero block. gluck --jeff >hey, im new to this list and was just wondering if someone could help me >out.
