Hi Ted, I think most Nokia feature phones will work. Ben and Scott from Akros have a lot of experience using J2ME phones in Zambia and may be able to provide more details about exact models.
As Knut points out, there may be some issues with the J2ME client and different server versions at the moment, which we are looking into.
