Hi,

I've used Dia for a short time, but stopped using it because I didn't find a
way to import some drawings in StarOffice ( eps doesn't seem to work
correctly? ). I'll get the new version as soon as you're releasing it.

Personally I think that the size of the main window should be independent of
the type of paper you want to use afterwards to print the diagram on. I've
been using Rational Rose ( NT ) for two years now. In Rose, you just start
drawing and if you want to print, you can scale the drawing to the size of
paper you want to use, which, in my case, was A3.
I guess that you should choose between:
*) a complete dtp-like program with good diagramming, so you should be able
to format a complete page, with headers, page numbers,...
*) a good diagram program that can export the drawings to other programs
like presentation packages or wordprocessors.
*) a good UML tool, which at the end, can generate C++; Java or whatever
OO-code.
My personal opinion is that you ( or we if I find some time ) should
concentrate
on the second and third point. It would be great to have a code generation
tool with Dia embedded in, something like Rose ( but better hope-
fully ).
In that case, you don't have to worry about showing a page on screen with
borders and stuff, just give the user to possibility to fit everything on one
page
or multiple pages ( like a poster ) and to export it to other programs.
