I used Visio on my Windows box, before I discovered Linux and DIA. Now,
in Visio, the UI works the following wa: You click on the templaste and
you drag the shape out, onto the drawing, and it clicks into place. By
default, all shpaes come with a predeterined size, and you resize it by
dragging the handle.
Would it be possible to somewhat emulate the UI control of Visio in
Dia? The ragging can be taken out, but maybe we can add a tag in the
source file to give the shape a default sie, and maybe even the option of
locking the aspect ratio of the shape?
Also, as the project matures, more and more templates will (hopefully) be
available. And, very obviously, not everyone will need everything but the
kitchen sink. Would it be possible to define a "workspace" file, that
calls the templates to be loaded, only when needed?
