Hello,
As soon as the drawing gets larger, we get response times of more than 5
or 10 seconds for editing or moving e.g. lines or curves. The whole thing
gets close to unusable.
Here dia is the only application that is so slow after it came up once, so
it's not related to our setup. Nobody except us seems to use X-terminals
any more.
Host: 2x500MHz PIII, 512MB RAM, LVD DDRS HD (a fast machine), 100MBit
X-Term: Tektronix XP[24]00, 20MB RAM, 10MBit (standard).
I wouldn't write this if we would not like dia a lot, it's currently our
main tool for doing UML- and Flowcharts. Much better Return Of Investments
than e.g. with Rational :)
