Ah. I thought so. Rembers me of ICA/WTS/... speeds :) Mostly these
programs are slow because of multiple redraws of the same vectors, texts
and whatever when refreshing the screen.

Gimp, xpaint, soffice, xwp, ghostview, xv, konqueror, rational, ...

No problem at all. We have the whole bandwidth of free and open software
running and a few commercial packages, never had a problem, we even can
run small mpeg videos.  The slowest app is netscape, here it takes about
10-15s before it comes up (I think that's because of the loading or
searching of fonts from xfs) and it's slow when scrolling tables.
